WHAT IS AN OGRE?
A cruel thing, made from hateful men who desire dominion and tyranny over empathy and community. Their blood grows thick, their eyes bulge, their teeth turn to fangs and their tongue can cast forth only terrible words. These are not the boorish brutes of yonder hill, they are the dread landlord, the merciless lord of the manor, the hateful general, or the dark master of the borderland fortress.
They possess wealth beyond reckoning, but to hold such treasures is to risk falling to that which turns men into Ogres. Grift and Galgenbeck have their fair share of Ogres, isolated in their enclaves; and more than a few hamlets upon the shrouded roads of the dying world are held in such bitter clutches of avarice and wrath.

This is fantastic, I love the lore around the Ogre-fication of people, it follows the setting pattern of Goblins being cursed people, and spreads in a very thematic way. Also, what Murky Borgy GM doesn’t want to give their players cursed treasure for their effort of slaying the beasty? The cycle sustains itself, though Ogres keep themselves fat and few between. In essence a great mid-boss for your adventure!
